JECO MUSIC ANNOUNCES DEBUT OF “THE SOURCE” ONLINE SONG
LIBRARY
JECO Music, specializing in the creation and production of original
music for the film, TV and commercial industries, has announced
the debut of its newest online premium music library, titled “The
Source.”
“The Source” is a comprehensive collection of songs and songlength
tracks now being offered for use as source music for feature
films and TV shows, as well as for TV, radio and Internet advertising.
These tracks were written and recorded by A-list studio musicians
based in LA and NY, who are otherwise recording and touring with
top artists.
Jon Ehrlich, co-founder of JECO Music, said, “This song library was
more a labor of love than anything else. We were doing regular
sessions with some of the best musicians in the world on various
film and TV projects, week in and week out. As a way of having
some fun, we started writing and recording these songs with
them, tacking them onto the end of our scoring sessions. We were
having a blast and recording some amazing songs. After a while it
became addicting, and before we knew it, we had more than 10
CDs worth of phenomenal songs.”
Leigh Roberts, also a co-founder of JECO
Music, adds, “We are extremely proud of
this collection. Stylistically, it runs the gamut,
covering a wide range of genres and eras.
Just listen to the three-minute demo –you’ll
get a real feel for the quality and usefulness
of this library.”
“The Source” song library is ideal for
use within scenes where source music is
required: scenes in nightclubs, restaurants,
any location with a radio, jukebox, iPod,
etc. Most songs have additional mixes with
“low vocals” and/or “instrumental only.”
“The Source” is broken down into genres,
including Rock, Alternative, Country Rock,
Country, Techno/Dance, Hip Hop/Rap,
Blues, R&B, Pop, World, Jazz/Standards and
Specialized/Misc.
Allen Marshall Palmer, co-producer of the
hit FOX TV series “House,” said, “On ‘House,’
JECO Music’s library ‘The Source’ regularly
gives us quick access to great songs
across a wide range of styles. The vocal
performances really stand out, and don’t
feel like they are from a standard music
library. On a network television schedule,
it’s nice to have ‘The Source’ always readily
available.”
