VADDIO ADDS PANASONIC ROBOTIC CAMERAS IN
STRATEGIC OEM DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT
Vaddio, the leading
designer and OEM
distributor of specialty
PTZ cameras and highend
camera control
systems used in the
broadcasting, audio/visual
and videoconferencing
industries, announced
the addition of Panasonic
Robotic PTZ cameras to its
product line.
“By teaming the Panasonic
AW-HE100 integrated HD/
SD camera with Vaddio’s
CAT5 transmission system, users have an easy-to-use, easyto-install
camera solution with outstanding picture quality and
ultra-smooth pan/tilt/zoom capabilities,” said John Baisley,
President, Panasonic Broadcast & Television Systems Company.
“In addition, we are delighted with this new relationship with
Vaddio, a world-class producer of specialty cameras and
control systems.”
“Panasonic has always been one of the leading developers
of video technology,” said Rob Sheeley, president of Vaddio.
“With their new AW-HE100 integrated robotic camera they have
just raised the bar in terms of performance and image quality
people can now expect from robotic camera systems.”
Vaddio will showcase two new camera systems, based on
Panasonic’s AW-HE100 robotic cameras, at this fall’s WFX 2008.
The WallVIEW PRO HE100 allows the use of standard CAT-5
cabling to run HD video, camera power and camera control
up to 500 feet (152.4m). Vaddio’s High Speed Differential
Signaling™ (HSDS) provides a high-bandwidth, low-loss video
signal to ensure high definition quality up to 500 feet. Also
debuting for the first time, the WallVIEW CCU HE100 takes the
PRO system a step further by adding Vaddio’s Camera Control
Unit (CCU) image control technology. This allows the user to
adjust the camera’s iris, gain, color, pedestal, chroma, gamma
and detail. The WallVIEW CCU HE100 allows the use of standard
CAT-5 cabling to run both HD and SD video, camera power,
black burst sync and camera control up to 500 feet (152.4m).
In developing these two new camera packages Vaddio has reengineered
the AW-HE100 internal camera power supply from
110/220 AC to 12V DC. This allows the camera to be installed
anywhere regardless of local power availability.
In addition to the two new camera systems, Vaddio will be
showing full Panasonic Robotic Camera inter-operability with its
complete line of ProductionVIEW camera control systems. The
ProductionVIEW systems allow the integrator to incorporate the
Panasonic AW-HE100 robotic cameras into their new or existing
projects.
Optional mounts include a Thin Profile Wall Mount and a Dropdown
Ceiling Mount for those applications where wall mounting
a camera is not possible.
