Lightborne Creates Luscious Ambient Films For Mega Candy Store
IT’SUGAR
Motion design and production collective Lightborne was recently
tapped by ad agency Markham Unlimited to create a series of 12
looping ambient films for IT’SUGAR, a sweet and sassy candy
boutique with locations around the world. The videos are currently
appearing throughout the newly designed high-end retail spaces,
as well as on building exteriors. The shop’s irreverent branding and
mature attitude drive the hypnotic and psychedelic animations,
which glorify candy in all its many forms. From celestial explosions of candy canes to liquid milk-chocolate
speaker cones vibrating to dance beats to glistening gummy bears streaming like a rainbow waterfall.

The Richards Group has released a
one-minute spot for Fruit of the Loom
titled “Performance” in July for client
John Shivel. Part of Fruit of the Loom’s well
known fruit mascots, the video depicts a stage
performance of the mascots singing and playing
musical
instruments
with dancers
reminiscent
of Cirque Du
Soleil giving a
variety of acts. All
the dancers are
mostly female and
dressed in Fruit of
the Loom underwear as they dance to the music in an
artistic fashion. The ad shows off Loom’s Amazing Cotton
Stretch Collection and can be seen now.

Union Editorial’s Jim Haygood
Runs On ‘Instinct’ For Sprint Campaign
As the acclaimed editor of “Fight Club,” “The Game”
and other features, Jim Haygood of bicoastal Union has
a knack for building tension onscreen. He brings that keen
“Instinct” to this new campaign for Sprint, with a series of spots
spoofing film genres - and showing off the new Sprint Instinct,
coming to a retailer near you. The campaign features four short
spots entitled “Launch,” an action movie spoof, “Romance,” a small
romantic drama spoof, “Cinema,” an action interrogation piece, and
“Horror,” a Texas Chainsaw Massacre style spoof of teen horror films.
The four pieces aired in July.
