New Work, A New Company And Other News Found In Sound
Compiled by Amy Wilschke
We at SCREEN Mag recently brought you summer updates from the production and post-production worlds,
and now it only makes sense to follow suit with an update on the happenings from the standpoint of music
and sound design! Here is what a few folks from the music industry had to say about their recent work.
AMERICAN
MUSIC COMPANY
CELEBRATES ITS
FOURTH YEAR IN
BUSINESS
SCREEN: Hi Mitchel!
What have you
been working on
lately?
Mitchel Greenspan, President/Owner:
We recently wrapped
up production on three new CD projects: AM094 Todo
Mi Corazón - passionate, Latin love and romance music;
AM095 Enchanted Wonder - symphonic/orchestral fantasy
and enchantment, very Disney-esque; and AM096 Seasons
Greetings - contemporary, non-secular Christmas/holiday
season music.
Visit www.screenmag.tv for more daily news than ever before!
We are close to wrapping up five more CD projects: AM097
Coffee Break - light and friendly news themes; AM098 Sunny
Delight - perky and enjoyable contemporary tracks; AM099
Shenanigans - wacky/zany and comical music; AM100
Urban Warrior Vol.1 - fast-paced, contemporary rock tracks
with vocal catch phrases; and AM101 Urban Warrior Vol.2
- alternate mix, underscores, no vocals.
Additionally, March 1 was our four year anniversary,
and I am very excited and proud of that. We are
growing and getting stonger every day!
SCREEN: What types of clients have you
been providing music for recently?
MG: We provide music for all kinds of
clients - from independent producers
through individual production facilities,
advertising agencies,
television, radio and
cable stations, broadcast
facilities, game developers,
web site designers, educational
institutions, government facilities and
institutions, and on, and on…
SCREEN:: : How does summer compare
to the rest of the year in terms of your
workload?
MG: Usually the summer, although is
still very active with production, when
compared to the rest of the year,
tends to slow down a bit. This summer
was unusually active for us, more so
than any other summer that I can
recall. I think that this is an excellent
sign.
SCREEN: One more thing - what can
you say about work you’ve done in
the interactive realm?
MG: We supplied music to a series
of webisodes/vignettes that were
designed to highlight each week
of “American Idol” as it was taking
place. These These webisodes were posted
onto “American Idol’s” web site for the
all of the fans of the show to enjoy.
