Framepool’s motto is run by filmmakers and the New
York office will be headed by award-winning, non-fiction

American presence with another new appointment as
experienced footage specialist Krista Kilgore takes over as
the Framepool Director in Chicago. Peter Carstens, who
represented Framepool in Miami for several years, has been
appointed Chief Operating Officer of Framepool in the
States.

Bazillion Pictures Sounds Off About New Hires, Expansion
Clay Turpin has joined Bazillion Pictures as the Director of
Marketing and will be handling project management as
well. Additionally, Lisa Murphy has joined the company as
a Marketing Representative. She will handle technical and
industrial accounts.
Bazillion Pictures has also added 1,400 sq. ft. to its current
office space in Kansas City. The new space was added to
provide an expanded offering of services and amenities
for clients. These expanded services include editing as
well as audio. The editing and audio suites are linked so
as to provide instant communication
between the two. Bazillion Sounds is
the new offspring of Bazillion Pictures
and will focus primarily on music
composition and sound effects.
Bazillion Pictures is a full-service 3D
animation and motion graphics studio.
This year marks its 15th year in the
business.

Getty Images Appoints
Kobalt Music Group
Getty Images, the world’s leading
creator and distributor of visual content
and other digital media, and Kobalt
Music Group (New York), the leading
independent online music publishing
company, announced that Getty
Images has appointed Kobalt to provide
exclusive, worldwide administration
services for Getty Images global music
catalog.
“As the unprecedented destination
for digital content, Getty Images is
revolutionizing the way music is
licensed today,” said Jonathan Klein,
Co-founder and CEO of Getty Images.
“This agreement with Kobalt provides our customers easy
access to even more of the world’s best music.”

with Getty Images, which continues to grow its music catalog
and music licensing services,” said Willard Ahdritz, CEO and
founder. “Kobalt will be registering Getty Images content
with societies around the world and offering a multitude of
customized services that will be a natural fit to complement
expanding music operations. The new relationship will
provide opportunities for new revenue streams for selected
clients’ copyrights and master recordings. It’s a win-win
relationship for both companies.”
As part of the deal, Kobalt will register, track and collect
royalties from global performance societies for copyrights
licensed by Getty Images through Pump Audio, which
licenses the music of independent artists for commercial
use in TV, major motion pictures, films, games, Internet, and
amateur filmmakers, among other uses.
Getty Images and Kobalt will work together to make certain
Kobalt content available for licensing for both professional
and consumer use through Pump Audio and Soundtrack,
an online professional music search and licensing tool.
