KICKER Breaks Into Home Audio Category
With New Product Introduction
KICKER, the leader in car audio, recently launched a
new integrated online and public relations campaign to
introduce the iKICK and ZKICK - innovative home stereo
systems designed to play iPod or Zune digital audio media.
This launch marks KICKER’s first entry into the Home Audio
category.
Schafer Condon Carter (SCC, Chicago), KICKER’s marketing
agency of record, handled strategic and creative
development for the campaign designed to leverage
KICKER’s long-standing reputation for high performance
car audio systems with the home audio consumer.
“KICKER needed a marketing partner who really understood
how to meaningfully translate and leverage our brand
equity with home audio consumers,” said J.A. Tonsfeldt,
KICKER’s business unit director of home and portables. “We
found that partner in SCC.”
The campaign launched in May 2008 and features online
advertising (display and paid search) as well as a viral
consumer public relations push targeting key influencers in
the home audio market.

Identity Media Signs Scott Corbett
Identity is pleased to announce the recent signing of former
agency copywriter Scott Corbett to its directorial roster.
Most recently, Scott directed a “Banned from the Super
Bowl” campaign for PETA via Japanese Monster aimed at
KFC for their inhumane treatment of chickens.
Corbett joins Identity’s roster of diverse directors and aims to
bring his subtle blend of humor and rich, filmic style to the
rapidly expanding company. Owner/EP Joe Masi notes, “I
was attracted to Scott’s work immediately and knew he’d be
a perfect addition to our roster. The look of his film, his casting
and his ability to tell a story all worked so well together. Scott
is very well-rounded, and his sense of comedy is unlike many
others. His ability is much broader than just comedy as his film
has such a diverse, wide range.”
