Seeing Spots
Ring Of Fire And McNugget Fly In China
China was about the last place Brian Shneider thought he’d be going for a
two-week supervision assignment for a McDonalds spot– but that’s just where
he was sent to VFX supervise for Ring of Fire (Los Angeles) on a project starring
two incredible martial artists who are only eight years old. “Kung Fu” was
shot at World Studios in Hang Dian, five hours south of Shanghai. Directed by
Partizan’s (NY/LA/Paris/London) Paul
Goldman for Leo Burnett Chicago,
it’s a beautiful and clever homage to
“Crouching Tiger” and other martial
arts movies.

Moroch Creates “Passport To
Great Weekends With Samantha Brown”
For The Travel Channel
Coworkers of Travel Channel personality
Samantha Brown are caught off guard as she
interrupts their plans for a grand prank thanks to the
shooting schedule of her new show, “Passport to Great
Weekends.” As Travel Channel host Samantha Brown
arrives for the day at network headquarters, she is surprised
to find two coworkers in her office. They, however, are equally
surprised to see her, and are a bit uncomfortable as she has
caught them in the act of executing a complex prank. With no
escape and no excuses, they attempt to turn to the blame on
Samantha, questioning her as to why she is at work and not traveling
as usual. Samantha patiently explains that her new show, “Passport
to Great Weekends,” is a new concept, and therefore involves a new
shooting schedule, freeing up her weekdays.

T2 Teams Up With Bernstein-Rein With
On-Set Editing For New SunCom Campaign
When Bernstein-Rein Advertising (Kansas City)
needed a quick turnaround for two commercials
with firm air dates, they engaged with T2’s
(Kansas City) editor Pete Meyer to fly out to the
production in Los Angeles and edit the spots
on location while they shot.
In the commercials, one family is able to
afford to purchase an elephant for a pet
because they had saved so much on their
wireless service, while another family uses
their financial boon to put a hot tub and
plasma screen in the trunk of their car.
