“Commercial work, webisodes, documentaries, style pieces or corporate videos,
19 Below will dig deep to give your piece the mood, style and story that fits its
purpose, audience and - of course - you.” So goes the company pledge of 19
Below, a post-production facility based in Kansas City.
19 Below is the culmination of an established production company looking to
expand its services and an editor and former business owner looking for an
opportunity to upgrade.
The company was conceived by Bark Productions partners Brad Slaughter and
Mark Schotte as a way to expand their services. Their involvement as producers
with the company provides a link between production and post-production as
well as managing the
details of the project.
Working as an exclusive
shop, 19 Below aims
to help customers find
their way from script to
screen, from paper to
projection, and from
their lobby gallery to
one of their HD edit
suites. The company,
which cuts both on Avid Adrenaline and Final Cut Pro, is also now stepping onto
the motion graphics platform.
19 Below boasts a team of production professionals dedicated to upholding
another of the company’s pledges to its clients: “With latte in hand and lunch on
the way you’ll be able to stay focused on your artistic vision, with only your cell
phone to interrupt you.”
Joy Moeller was recently named creative director and film editor for 19 Below.
Moeller brings 10 years of creative editorial experience to the advertising
industry. Clients include regional and national work for McDonalds, Sonic Drive-
In, Gordmans, Steve & Barry,
Sprint, Suncom, Dairy Queen,
Borden Dairy, United Way
and Time Warner Cable.
Moeller has played an
intricate role in introducing
the post-production
boutique experience to the
Kansas City agencies and
corporate creatives.
Leigh Ann Marshall is 19
Below’s director of client
services. Marshall continues
to offer her sales, account management and marketing experience to the
production company. Marshall acts as the representative and client’s initial step
in the execution of broadcast and post-production projects.
Beverly Weidner acts as client concierge and curator for the art gallery. Weidner
has an advertising and communication background and had previously worked
as an office manager.
