OMD Lands $300 Million Intel Account
Intel Corporation has named Chicagobased
OMD as its new media buy
agency. OMD beat out Starcom
(Chicago) and incumbent Universal
McCann (New York) in a search that
began in December. “Each of the
finalists impressed us, but OMD gave us
a stronger sense of possessing worldclass
media industry leadership and
state-of-the-art business intelligence
and analytics,” said Nancy Bhagat,
Intel’s vice president of Sales and
Marketing Group and director of
Integrated Marketing.
This news comes on the heels of several
major brand losses to the Chicago
advertising community - most recently
the loss of the Gatorade account,
which had been with Element 79 for
the past six years.
