Final Cut/Los Angeles is pleased to announce the addition
of Oscar Award-winning Editor Joe Hutshing to its roster.
The company has also promoted
Graham Turner to editor.
Hutshing is a feature film editor who
has collaborated with acclaimed
directors including Oliver Stone,
Cameron Crowe, Spike Jonze,
Adrian Lyne, Nancy Meyers and
Robert Redford, to name a few.
Hutshing has received multiple
Academy Awards for notable films “JFK” and “Born on the
Fourth of July,” and was nominated for the Best Editing Oscar
for “Jerry Maguire” and “Almost Famous.” Other industry
accolades include an Emmy Award for “Live from Baghdad,”
as well as numerous ACE Eddie and a BAFTA award. Most
recently, Hutshing was honored by the Hollywood Film
Festival as its “Hollywood Editor of the Year.”
In addition, Final Cut has promoted
Graham Turner to editor, marking the
first assistant promotion to editor in the
Los Angeles office. For the past two
years, Turner has worked on several
campaigns for Xbox 360 PGR, Hummer,
VW and MSN, the latter of which was
nominated at Cannes, as well as music
videos for Katy Perry and Strung Out.

Subliminal And SHADOWCORP
Get New Midwest Representation
Commercial production company Subliminal, and recentlylaunched
SHADOWCORP, specializing in new media
entertainment, have secured Julie Vargo & Associates for
Midwest representation, and Phil McAlpine to cover the
South.
Both companies are presided over by LA-based partners/
executive producers Dina Mande and Steven Gould, and
are represented by Stu Sternbach on the East Coast.
The Subliminal roster is comprised of directors Michael
Chaves, Anghel Decca, Todd Korgan, Mark Lyon, Tony
McNamara, Melanie Mandl, Johann Wolf, David Yosha and
Bob Gordon Films.
Writer-directors John Chuldenko, Toby Wilkins, Greg Benson,
Monsterobot, Lamer Street and Jane Selle Morgan, all of
whom are established purveyors of nontraditional content,
make up the SHADOWCORP roster.

Sound Lounge Music and Sound Design Hires New EP
New York-based Sound Lounge Music & Sound Design is
pleased to announce the hiring of executive producer,
Marcus Smith. Most recently, Smith was Co-Founder/
Executive Producer for New York-based music company,
Siblings. While at Siblings, Marcus
produced memorable commercial
campaigns for Siemans (Publicis, NY),
JC Penny (Saatchi, NY), and Nikon
(McCann, NY).
In addition to spotwork, Marcus
produced the original music for 2008
Oscar-winning documentary “Taxi to
the Dark Side.” Prior to Siblings, Marcus
worked at Universal Motown Records
Group in A&R and Finance. “I feel fortunate to have found
such a snug fit within the diverse, yet unified walls of Sound
Lounge. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to provide
smart, effective music solutions for clients across all mediums
of production,” notes Smith.
Partner/sound designer Marshall Grupp comments on the
addition, “We’re pleased to bring someone with Marcus’
youth, exuberance, and experience into the Sound Lounge
family of brands. Marcus has been involved in music initiatives
across all genres of production including: commercials,

Editor Angelo Valencia Joins FilmCore
Continuing to add to the strength and depth of its creative
roster, FilmCore has brought on award-winning editor
Angelo Valencia. The move marks a reunion for Valencia,
who began his career with FilmCore 10 years ago. The editor,
whose recent work includes spots for Walgreen’s, Wendy’s
and Sharp, will be based out
of the company’s studio in
Santa Monica, but will also be
available for projects through
its offices in New York and San
Francisco.
Valencia arrives from The
Whitehouse, where he spent
the past six years, working
through its offices in Chicago, New York, and, most recently,
Santa Monica. His background also includes a stop at
501 Post in Austin, as well as five years at FilmCore, San
Francisco.
Valencia’s past credits include two spots that won awards
at Cannes: “Low Riders” for the San Francisco Jazz Festival
won a Gold Lion in 2001 and “Shopping Cart” for the PGA
won a Bronze Lion in 2002.
