Euro RSCG Chicago Hires Eric Edge
Euro RSCG Chicago has hired Eric
Edge as the agency’s Director of
Communications. The new post
was created to help coordinate the
agency’s communications efforts
regarding thought leadership,
creativity and the remarkable growth
streak the agency has experienced.
Edge will be responsible for both
internal and external communications
efforts and report directly to Euro RSCG
Chicago president and CEO/North
American COO Ron Bess.
Edge joins Euro RSCG Chicago most
recently from Draftfcb (Chicago) where
he served as Vice President, Associate
Director of Corporate Communications,
with responsibility for the agency’s
communications efforts in Chicago,
the West Coast, U.S., Latin America
and Asia/Pacific. Prior to his joining
Draft in 2003, Edge held various posts
with United Airlines, including Senior
Staff Representative and Supervisor
of Onboard Services, where he was
responsible for communicating policies,
standards and business practices to
more than 20 worldwide locations,
among other duties.
“Eric is a top-notch pro with great
experience and we’re excited to have
him join our Chicago management
team,” said Bess.
In addition to his nearly 10 years of
expertise between Draftfcb and United,
Edge also spent time working for San
Diego Congressman Brian P. Bilbray
in Washington D.C. and San Diego,
where he served as staff assistant
working on speeches, research and
managing staff.
Edge attended San Diego State
University, where he majored in
Political Science. He also served as
chairman of the board of Aztec Shops
Ltd., a not-for-profit corporation that
functions primarily as an auxiliary of
San Diego State University. He has lived
in Milan, Italy, and speaks both Italian
and Spanish.
