It’s finally spring! The sun is shining, the birds have grown
tired of the southern weather, and those snappy little tunes
you have jiving in your head don’t seem to be quite so
annoying since you can listen to them poolside. We here at
SCREEN are more excited than anyone, so we thought we
would catch up with some of our musical cronies and find
out how they’re dealing with the thaw.

broadcast in Dolby E™ 5.1 Surround, marking a national
milestone in the broadcasting industry.
Dee Joyce, VP, Advertising and Marketing for KPIX-TV,
points out that they are “excited to be the first TV station
in America to broadcast our news music package in 5.1
Surround. Today’s great shows like ‘CSI’ already broadcast
their audio in 5.1 and make the viewer experience so rich
that we wanted to extend that great experience to our
local news audience.”
